MY BACKGROUND

Looking up at tall skyscrapers in downtown Providence, RI from the ground, with a cloudy sky overhead.

I’ve built my career in human resources and leadership development, primarily within large nonprofits. Currently, I serve as Director of Human Resources at Brown University in Providence, RI, and I also teach management courses as an adjunct faculty member at Northeastern University in Boston, MA.

I hold a doctorate in organizational leadership and a Master of Public Administration, both from Northeastern University. In 2024, I earned a certificate in leadership and professional coaching from Brown University. I am an Associate Certified Coach (ACC) through the International Coaching Federation (ICF) - a globally recognized credential that reflects my commitment to coaching excellence and ethical practice.

My coaching clients come from a wide range of industries, including nonprofit, tech, healthcare, education, consulting, and government. No matter their field, they all share a common goal: navigating career transitions and leadership challenges with confidence and clarity.

  • “Kathleen gave me the guidance — and confidence — to land a raise. Then we laid out a game plan to start my new role on the right note. Her observations gave me a lot to think about — and act on!”

    H, Project Manager

  • "Kathleen has coached me through a wide range of professional challenges and milestones - managing up, finally facing and deciding to leave a bad-fit role, job hunting, and negotiating a new offer."

    S, Nonprofit Chief of Staff

  • "Kathleen helped me craft a strategy and focus for my job search - it made things so much less overwhelming. I was able to land a role that offered the same good things as my last job - but with a better work environment and more room to grow.""

    W, Government Manager

  • "After a brief discussion, Kathleen deftly pointed out steps I could take to navigate a difficult manager. Before meeting with her, I felt like I had few options to move forward. She opened my eyes and put me back in the driver’s seat of my career. "

    S, Construction Manager

  • "I am still meeting with her as I transition into leadership in a different sector. Kat is a great listener, asks the right questions, and gives me homework (which I often need!)."

    B, Leader of Strategy
